Early Morning Stock Associate

About the role

The Early Morning Stock Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers. This position requires a high level of awareness on the sales floor to maintain a safe and secure environment, treat customers and associates with respect, and provide prompt and efficient service.

Responsibilities

• Understands and practices safety as the top priority.
• Maintains a safe shopping environment by promptly correcting or reporting any unsafe conditions.
• Treats all customers and associates with respect and courtesy, recognizing fellow associates through Company recognition programs.
• Assists customers, greets them, and responds to their needs politely and knowledgeably.
• Performs cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and maintaining high-touch areas.
• Represents the company brand and maintains a professional appearance.
• Manages stock, processes loss prevention, and follows all policies regarding cash, checks, and refunds.
• Communicates effectively with customers, associates, and leadership.

Qualifications and Special Skills Required

• Effective communication with customers, associates, and leadership.
• Basic mathematical calculations common in retail environments.

Physical Requirements/ADA

• Ability to use all store equipment, including point of sale terminals, registers, and computers.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store for up to 100% of working time.
• Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
• Ability to lift and push/pull more than 25 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to use janitorial equipment and supplies.
