Early Morning Stock Associate

About the role

The Early Morning Stock Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers. This position requires understanding safety protocols, treating customers and colleagues with respect, and performing various tasks to support the store’s operations.

Responsibilities

• Understands and practices safety measures in all activities.
• Maintains a safe and secure shopping environment by promptly correcting or reporting unsafe conditions.
• Treats all customers and associates with respect and professionalism.
• Assists customers in any way necessary, including register training, merchandise assistance, and answering customer questions politely and knowledgeably.
• Responds promptly and efficiently to customer service calls and handles issues courteously, escalating to leadership when necessary.
• Represents the company brand consistently and adheres to loss prevention policies.
• Performs daily cleaning tasks and maintains a professional appearance.
• Expedites new merchandise receipts and merchandises items according to company guidelines.
• Understands and follows loss prevention awareness, shortage highway, and store protection specialist (where applicable) policies.
• Manages cash, checks, charge cards, and refunds accurately and follows all policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency and maximizes productivity by executing all store best practices.

Qualifications and Special Skills Required

• Effective communication with customers, colleagues, and store leadership.
• Basic mathematical calculations common in retail environments.

Physical Requirements/ADA

• Ability to use all store equipment, including point of sale terminals, registers, and computers.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store for up to 100% of working time.
• Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
• Ability to occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 pounds.
• Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies.
