Early Morning Baker

About the role

Do you love being the reason the store smells amazing when customers walk in? Can you measure, mix, and bake with precision—even before the sun comes up? Do you want to work where you can be yourself while having fun? The Baker produces freshly made, artisan pastries, breads, and other baked items, such as laminated croissants, pies, and desserts, daily using the best possible ingredients for customers to enjoy the best possible eating experience.

Responsibilities

• Produces Swamp baked goods including: baking, mixing, scaling, portioning recipes, and following proper weight standards
• Follows daily checklists to prepare and bake a variety of unique baked goods
• Mixes, rolls, and proofs dough using industry-standard equipment
• Consolidates and supports Stecca production, including mixing and cutting as needed
• Packages catering, wholesale, and retail items to specification
• Executes all recipes and procedures with efficiency and accuracy

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be available for weekend and 3am–11am shifts
• Must possess a passion for local food and an interest in telling the story behind it
• Must conduct oneself in an honest, professional, and respectful manner at all times
• Must possess a love of people, interact well with others, and have a desire for excellent customer service
• Able to take direction, work independently, and as a member of a team, and create working relationships
• Must be highly motivated, hardworking, and possess a positive, enthusiastic attitude
• Must pay attention to details, be organized, and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
