Early Morning Baker (3am-11am) Full-Time Keyser

About the role

The Baker is responsible for performing duties as directed by the Bakery Manager and/or Assistant Bakery Manager for the successful operation of the Bakery Department. You will maintain high standards of customer service, professionalism, and cleanliness while complying with all company policies.

Responsibilities

• Competent knowledge of essential functions of Baker Apprentice, Cake Decorator, and Wrapper positions
• Prepare dough for oven
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of bakery case, prep area, floors, coolers, and work area
• Inspect equipment to ensure operational performance and preventative maintenance
• Assist in finishing and filling donuts, pastries, pies, and cakes as required
• Apply food preparation procedures and techniques
• Cooperate with other departments during inter-departmental or store-wide sales promotions
• Maintain freezer and stock incoming products
• Be present at your workstation at the start of your shift
• Comply with all safety policies and procedures
• Adhere to the Customer Service Pledge and maintain a neat, professional appearance
• Follow all policies outlined in the Employee Handbook

Requirements

• Ability to hear, speak, and understand the spoken word
• Proficiency in reading, writing, analyzing, and interpreting English
• Frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and tasting/smelling
• Regular use of hands and digits for reaching, manipulating objects, and adjusting focus
• Close, distant, and color vision abilities
• No minimum educational requirement
• One year of Bakery Apprentice (or related field) experience
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to calculate figures, amounts, discounts, and percentages
• Ability to lift, bend, and twist up to 50 pounds
