About the role

We are seeking a DOORS Database Support Technologist. On any given day, you may be called on to:

  • Provide support regarding the Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) 9.7 application to teams developing requirements for the Defense Programs Business Process System (DPBPS)
  • Conduct entry of requirements and supporting content into DOORS for project teams
  • Create and maintain the integrity of linkages between modules within the database
  • Generate database outputs that serve as contractually binding requirements for NNSA as well as the Labs, Plants and Sites across the Nuclear Security Enterprise (NSE)
  • Utilize detailed procedures and checklists to ensure high quality of data and outputs
  • Create Microsoft Word requirements documents from the DOORS database using IBM Rational Publishing Engine (RPE)
  • Generate reports and analysis
  • Troubleshoot DOORS issues
  • Develop and deploy RPE scripts and templates for use with the database
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives for DOORS to support requirements management throughout the organization
  • Support our team's future transition and data migration from DOORS 9.7 to DOORS Next

Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant will be required to work hybrid.

Requirements

  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of database management, data entry or programming experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE-Q level clearance

Qualifications

We desire the following qualifications:

  • Fluency in the use of DOORS 9.7 and/or DOORS Next requirements management tool
  • Experience in configuration management within DOORS
  • Fluency in publishing documents through IBM Rational Publishing Engine
  • Fluency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Visual Basic Office Scripting and Word Macros
  • Knowledge and experience of DXL or Javascript programming languages
  • Experience in requirements management
  • Experience supporting nuclear weapons programs
  • Experience with photo editing software, Visio, SharePoint
  • Previous NSE Experience

About our team

The Nuclear Security Enterprise (NSE) Integration Department provides technical and administrative support to NNSA for the Defense Programs Business Process System (DPBPS). DPBPS is the requirements system by which the NNSA realizes nuclear weapon products and manages nuclear weapon programs. The department supports NNSA and M&O Contractors in the development and configuration management of Federal and Inter-Agency requirements applicable across the NSE.

Pay

Salary range: $55,500 - $105,400. Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
