About the role

The Early Learning Specialist supports early childhood education programs to ensure children achieve School Readiness Goals. This position oversees implementation of Acelero Learning's system and tools, ensures compliance, and provides professional development and coaching.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees full implementation of Acelero Learning’s early learning system, policies, and tools
  • Ensures compliance with policies/procedures, including health and safety practices, and licensing regulations
  • Manages operations to meet changing program requirements
  • Improves education service area and organization quality through organizational change initiatives
  • Sponsors and implements professional development for education staff, including coaching and mentoring
  • Applies expertise in ongoing assessment to support staff in understanding child outcomes and using data to plan instruction
  • Guides staff in implementing early learning curriculum with fidelity
  • Provides consultation to teaching staff for differentiated instruction, especially for children with special needs
  • Ensures timely identification, referral, and transition support for children with disabilities
  • Tracks and analyzes child outcomes and program quality data
  • Conducts team and individual meetings to coordinate education services

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field with at least six courses in early childhood education and experience teaching preschool-aged children
  • State awarded preschool teaching certification with experience teaching preschool-aged children
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of one year of managerial/supervisory experience
  • Experience supervising/coaching in an early childhood setting
  • Prior Head Start or Early Head Start experience preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • CPR and First Aid certification or required to obtain within the first year of employment

Qualifications

  • Physical exam and background checks are required for this position
  • Travel required locally or long-distance up to 10% of the time for work-related meetings and functions
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

$79,000 annually
