What You’ll Do
- Lead a warm, structured, and engaging Pre-K classroom
- Teach early literacy, math, language, fine motor, problem-solving, and independence skills
- Help children build routines, listening skills, classroom expectations, and confidence
- Support social-emotional growth with calm, consistent guidance
- Maintain active supervision and safe classroom practices
- Communicate professionally with families about progress and readiness
- Partner with leadership and team members to create a prepared, joyful classroom
What We’re Looking For
- Strong Pre-K, preschool, or early childhood teaching experience
- Passion for Kindergarten readiness
- Classroom management skills with structure and warmth
- Organized, dependable, and consistent work habits
- Excellent communication with families and team members
- Joyful, patient, and steady presence with children
Preferred Qualifications
- CDA, ECE coursework, or degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Experience teaching Pre-K in a licensed childcare, preschool, early learning, or private school setting
- Elementary school experience is highly valued and may qualify for faster consideration
- CPR/First Aid preferred, or willingness to obtain
- Familiarity with lesson planning and child progress tracking
Requirements
- Must meet Virginia childcare employment requirements, including background checks
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Must maintain active supervision and safe classroom practices

Compensation
$18.00 - $24.00 per hour
