Job Responsibilities

• Provide statewide ASL instruction to professionals serving Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, families of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, children and community members
• Provide statewide language mentoring to children and their families in their natural environment
• Provide statewide professional development for specific skill development
• Provide online and virtual ASL learning opportunities
• Provide Deaf Mentor training in the natural environment by designing activities that will promote the child's acquisition of skills in a variety of developmental areas

Minimum And Additional Requirements

• Must have a Bachelor's Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) or related field and 3 years of experience teaching ASL, or upon approval from HR, an Associate's degree in the above areas with 5 years experience or a HS Diploma with 8 years of experience in above areas
• Native or near-native ASL user
