About the Role
Mentor Community Services, part of the Sevita family, provides community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You’ll join a mission-driven team providing in-home early intervention specialized services for infants and toddlers with disabilities, including developmental delays and autism spectrum disorders.
Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and provide weekly early educational in-home services for a caseload of infants/toddlers.
- Administer and document all program assessments and updates accurately to meet timelines.
- Design, implement, and adapt activities for language, cognitive, fine and gross motor, sensory, self-help, and social/emotional development for each child, utilizing best practices.
- Model effective adult-child interactions and provide written information on parenting and child development.
- Provide parents/guardians with written weekly activities and effective coaching.
- Monitor, document, and share the child’s progress with the family and team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in health/human services-related major OR equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., two years of full-time college classes plus two years of experience working/volunteering with children).
- Valid CA driver’s license in good standing with at least one year of licensed driving history in any U.S. state.
- Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance coverage.

Schedule
- Part-time to start (about 20-25 hours/week), with potential to build up to full-time (about 32 hours/week).
- Most sessions will be during daytime weekdays, but some flexibility for evenings and weekends may be needed.
Pay
$21.30/hour plus mileage reimbursement.
