Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of children suspected of having a developmental delay
- Utilize standardized assessment tools, including but not limited to the PLS-5 and/or DAYC 2
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive evaluation reports
- Provide support and guidance to families throughout the evaluation process
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of assessments, diagnoses, and treatment recommendations
- Stay current with research and best practices related to EI assessment and intervention
Requirements
- Licensed Bilingual Spanish SLP and/or Special Educator with a Birth -Grade 2 certification in NYS
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with children and families, preferably in an early intervention or clinical setting
- Demonstrated experience with standardized diagnostic tools such as PLS-5 and/or DAYC-2
- Strong understanding of autism spectrum disorder and evidence-based practices for assessment and intervention
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Qualifications
