Early Head Start Teacher

Phoenixville Area Children’s Learning Center (PACLC) is a nonprofit early childhood education program with 60 years of experience providing children an environment of love and learning. We believe children learn best through play, meaningful relationships, and caring interactions.

About the role

We’re launching an Early Head Start program at our newest location this fall and are looking for a compassionate, experienced Early Head Start Teacher to join our team. The first three years of life are filled with incredible growth and discovery. The best Early Head Start teachers know that every cuddle, conversation, diaper change, and playful interaction helps build trust, confidence, and lifelong learning. If you’re passionate about nurturing infants and toddlers while partnering with families to give children the very best start, we’d like to meet you.

This is a full-time, year-round position with a start date of August 2026.

Responsibilities

• Create nurturing, responsive relationships with infants, toddlers, and families.
• Plan engaging, developmentally appropriate, play-based learning experiences.
• Provide high-quality daily care while supporting each child’s developmental milestones.
• Observe children’s progress and individualize learning experiences.
• Partner with families through open communication and collaboration.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming classroom that meets licensing and Early Head Start standards.

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, or a related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
• At least 2 years of experience working with infants and toddlers in an early childhood setting.
• Knowledge of infant and toddler development and developmentally appropriate practices.
• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• PA clearances and First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• A warm, dependable educator who is passionate about helping children and families thrive.
