About the role
The Early Head Start Teacher is responsible for providing high-quality early childhood education services to children from low-income families.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum for infants and toddlers.
- Provide individualized attention to each child’s unique needs.
- Collaborate with parents to support their involvement in their child’s learning process.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
- Valid state teaching license or ability to obtain one within six months.
- Experience working with infants and toddlers preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Pass a background check.
Skills
- Knowledge of child development theories and practices.
- Proficiency in using educational technology tools.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
