Responsibilities
- Protect the physical and mental health and safety of our children.
- Implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences in various subjects.
- Support screenings, assessments, and evaluations of children’s developmental levels.
- Engage parents and family members in their child’s development and program services.
- Follow safety guidelines and report any suspected abuse or neglect.
- Participate in staff development and professional training.
- Support classroom activities and assist with transitions between classes.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure a safe learning environment.
- Communicate regularly with teachers and respond promptly to classroom requests.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential required, obtainable within 6 months.
- Previous early childcare experience preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish (preferred).
Skills
- Positive adult-child interactions as measured by the CLASS instrument.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of Innovative Network of Knowledge policies and procedures.
