Responsibilities

  • Protect the physical and mental health and safety of our children.
  • Implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences in various subjects.
  • Support screenings, assessments, and evaluations of children’s developmental levels.
  • Engage parents and family members in their child’s development and program services.
  • Follow safety guidelines and report any suspected abuse or neglect.
  • Participate in staff development and professional training.
  • Support classroom activities and assist with transitions between classes.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure a safe learning environment.
  • Communicate regularly with teachers and respond promptly to classroom requests.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential required, obtainable within 6 months.
  • Previous early childcare experience preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish (preferred).

Skills

  • Positive adult-child interactions as measured by the CLASS instrument.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of Innovative Network of Knowledge policies and procedures.
