Qualifications
- Performs manual labor tasks such as shoveling, lifting, or sweeping associated with highway maintenance and construction work
- Serves as flagman for road crews
- Installs and repairs guard rails and fences
- Repairs bridges and patches roads
- Mows grass using various tractor mowers
- Clears brush using hand tools, brush saws, brush chippers, and chain saws
- Sweeps roads and walks, cleans up yards, and performs other related duties
- Performs routine maintenance such as greasing, changing oil, and regular thorough cleaning on trucks, mowers, and equipment
- Helps install and maintain pipes and culverts
- Cleans up refuse and trash
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Training And Professional Experience
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, with 75-pound lifting ability
- Ability to operate vehicles with a standard transmission
- Valid Wisconsin Class B Commercial Driver's License with no "L" (air brakes) restriction and acceptable driving record
- Desired Training And Professional Experience Qualifications: Valid Wisconsin Class B Commercial Driver's License with no "L" (air brakes) restriction and acceptable driving record
- Appointment will be conditional upon successful completion of criminal background checks
- In accordance with regulations, individuals performing duties requiring a Commercial Driver License are required to pass pre-employment drug screening and will be subject to random and post-accident drug and alcohol testing during the course of employment

- Employees must have a valid Wisconsin Driver's license with "H" (Hazardous materials) and "N" (tank vehicles) endorsements
- Experience operating: Jack Hammer, Chain Saws, Mowers, Haul Truck (tandem, tri-axle or quad-axle type), Small hand tools, Rakes, Brooms, Brush Chipper, None of the above
