Position Summary
The Early Childhood Faculty at CCA advance and support CCA’s mission by modeling a mature Christian faith and demonstrating a deep commitment to excellence in curriculum and instruction. This role teaches all core subjects, partners with students, families, and colleagues to provide developmentally appropriate instruction grounded in a biblical worldview and aligned with CCA's academic standards.
The teacher designs and delivers a curriculum that promotes foundational knowledge and skills, intellectual curiosity, and inspires a love of learning. Through both instruction and example, the teacher models wisdom and virtue and fosters the social, emotional, and spiritual growth in his/her students.

Key Role Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate classroom instruction aligned with CCA’s curriculum, mission and biblical worldview.
- Assess, document, and monitor student learning through effective evaluation practices, providing timely, constructive feedback and using data to inform instruction.
- Establish and sustain a positive, well ordered classroom environment by setting clear expectations, implementing consistent behavior management, and fostering a culture of respect and engagement through our Honorable Character program.
- Mentor and guide students in their academic growth and spiritual development through intentional instruction, modeling, and relational investment.
- Collaborate professionally with colleagues, administrators, and families through regular communication, participation in meetings and professional development, and the maintenance of accurate academic and instructional records.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned in support of the broader mission and operations of the school, including obtaining classical, christian teacher certification through CCA’s accrediting body.
- Serve additional duties as assigned. Morning and lunch duty as needed.
Qualifications
- A mature and growing personal faith in Jesus Christ consistent with CCA’s Statement of Faith and an active member of a Bible believing church
- Love for children and a sense of call to teaching
- Commitment to Christian education and Christ-centered student development
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Teacher Certification, Early Childhood preferred
- 3-5 years experience preferred
- Knowledge of pedagogical principles and instructional methodologies
- Strong classroom management skills
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with consistency and professionalism
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

- Instructional plans consistently align with the curriculum and intentionally integrate biblical truth and classical pedagogy that engage and challenge all learners.
- Assessments are administered consistently, evaluated promptly, and accompanied by clear, actionable feedback that supports student learning and development.
- The classroom culture reflects respect, accountability, and grace, as demonstrated through high levels of student engagement, responsible conduct, and relationships grounded in truth and love.
- The teacher maintains accurate and organized records, communicates proactively and professionally with families and colleagues, and participates in the CCA community.
- CCA’s Portrait of a Graduate competencies and student behaviors are intentionally modeled, reinforced, and developed through instruction, classroom practices, and relational teaching.
