Early Childhood Teacher - 1 Year Old Classroom

About the role

Chambliss Center for Children is seeking teacher/teacher assistant positions in their Tumblers classrooms for children aged 14-24 months. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9am - 6pm or 7am - 4pm.

Responsibilities

• Keep children safe and engaged during play, learning, and daily routines.
• Lead fun activities that help kids grow in how they think, move, and get along with others.
• Keep the classroom clean, organized, and welcoming.
• Work closely with other teachers, parents, and volunteers.
• Watch for health needs and help children as needed.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Pass a fingerprint background check.
• Experience working with children in a classroom is a big plus!

Qualifications

Commensurate with experience and education, starting pay is $11/hour with potential to earn up to $16-17/hour with additional certifications.

Skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of child development and safety practices.
