This role at Alpha is distinct from traditional teaching. Academic work is completed through adaptive learning technology, allowing Guides to focus on personal development, resilience, and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate dynamic life-skills workshops focusing on communication, focus, and feedback skills.
- Provide one-on-one and small-group coaching using Coachbot analytics and established motivation frameworks.
- Evaluate life-skill proficiency using Alpha's Test2Pass framework, ensuring students achieve mastery.
- Tailor coaching approaches based on student developmental stages, incorporating various activities for different age groups.
- Cultivate relationships where students feel safe to challenge themselves.
Requirements
- Willing to work on-site at an Alpha campus.
- Bachelor's degree in any field.
- Minimum of 3 years of direct experience working with children ages 4-9 in teaching, coaching, tutoring, camps, youth programs, or comparable settings.
- Demonstrated history of inspiring young children to reach challenging objectives, with concrete examples of influence.
- Comfort working with AI-powered learning tools while directing efforts toward coaching, motivation, and life-skill cultivation.
- Capacity to combine warmth with consistently high expectations.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.
Nice-to-have Requirements
- Background in youth athletics, children's theater, camp leadership, Montessori education, progressive schooling, or high-engagement after-school programs.
- Personal history of accomplishing ambitious objectives in academics, sports, or professional career.
- Exceptional storytelling or performance abilities that naturally engage young children's attention.
- Track record of transforming hesitant or reserved children into confident, active participants.
Qualifications
- Willingness to work on-site at an Alpha campus.
- Current openings at this salary tier are located in Scottsdale, AZ; Oklahoma City and Tulsa, OK; Nashville, TN; Austin, Georgetown, Dallas, Plano, Fort Worth, and Houston, TX; and Park City (Salt Lake City area), UT.
- Basic requirements include a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of direct experience working with children ages 4-9.
- Additional qualifications may include background in youth athletics, children's theater, camp leadership, Montessori education, progressive schooling, or high-engagement after-school programs.

Schedule
The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The payment period is weekly.
