Early Childhood Special Education Paraprofessional

Hours: 9 hours per week (Monday/Wednesday/Friday 8:45–11:45). Starting rate: $24.83 per hour. This position is not eligible for health or dental benefits.

About the role

Assist Special Education Licensed Staff with academic adaptations, self-care, and social/behavioral needs for students in special education. Support may be provided in the general education classroom, special education classroom, or community.

Requirements

• High School diploma required
• Highly Qualified Status required
• Preference for 2-year post-secondary training
• Must be flexible and willing to work in a variety of settings with diverse students and staff
• Ability to lift, pull, and move a minimum of 50 pounds
• Willingness to assist with students’ eating and toileting needs
• Commitment to maintaining data privacy and confidentiality for all students
