Responsibilities
- Conduct family meetings and needs assessments
- Provide coaching on child development, behavior, routines, and parenting
- Connect families to community resources (healthcare, housing, food assistance, Early Intervention, behavioral health, etc.)
- Support participation in IEP/IFSP meetings, conferences, and transition planning
- Observe children in classroom settings
- Identify social-emotional and developmental needs early
- Support behavior strategies and self-regulation skills
- Promote inclusive participation for all children
- Provide coaching on positive behavior supports and trauma-informed practices
- Model effective strategies for challenging behaviors
- Support classroom environments that promote engagement and inclusion
- Collaborate with Early Intervention, schools, therapists, and community agencies
- Support referrals and follow-up services
- Assist with transitions into preschool, kindergarten, and specialized services
- Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential records
- Complete required reports and documentation
- Follow EEC regulations, Aspire policies, and confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in social work (BSW) required
- Experience with young children and families preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of child development and family support
- Bilingual Spanish skills a plus
