Early Childhood Program Specialist

The Primary Responsibility

The primary responsibility of the program specialist position is to provide program implementation research, identification and implementation support and guidance across the district and individual schools. Additionally, it is to help teachers analyze their teaching behaviors to increase student performance in the program.

Work Activities

• Work with building principals, leadership teams and teachers
• Facilitate the process for adopting, implementing and monitoring a PreK district program plan including assessment, instruction, professional development, and program evaluation
• Be current in instructional strategies
• Coach teachers in program strategies
