What You’ll Do
- Help design and lead fun, meaningful activities that support children’s academic success, confidence, and emotional wellbeing
- Build positive, supportive relationships with children using proven guidance techniques
- Be a consistent, encouraging presence and role model for both children and parents
- Aid in workshops and small groups for families (topics like parenting skills, budgeting, and life skills)
- Collaborate with case managers and community partners to ensure families receive the support they need
- Monitor and support children’s safety and wellbeing in a structured, caring environment
- Contribute ideas to improve programs and create culturally responsive activities
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED minimally required
- At least 1 year of experience working with children (school, volunteer, or community settings)
- A basic understanding of the challenges facing families experiencing homelessness
Schedule
Part-time, Monday–Friday starting at 1:00 PM (Some flexibility required during school breaks)
