Early Learning Center – 8.0 hours per day plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch break, 187 days per year.

9:15 a.m. – 5:45 p.m. (includes a 30-minute lunch break)

Pay

$15.76 – $16.21 per hour (depends on experience)

Qualifications

You must meet at least one of the following:

  • Completion of two years of study at an institution of higher education; OR
  • Possess an associate’s degree; OR
  • Complete a paraeducator certificate course; OR
  • Complete and pass the National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC)

Responsibilities

  • Reports to work as scheduled on a regular and reliable basis.
  • Assists with group instructional reinforcement, supporting students at teacher’s direction, as needed.
  • Ability to work in multiple rooms, collaborating with numerous people.
  • Ability to work with a flexible schedule on a daily basis.
  • Assists in assessing students on age-appropriate skills in multiple developmental areas, including social-emotional, physical, language, literacy, mathematics, and cognitive development.
  • Assists teachers in maintaining program accreditation requirements related to health, safety, and sanitation.
  • Assists teachers with daily care routines for all children.
  • Assists teachers in promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Supports and maintains individualized behavior management programs.
  • Utilizes conflict resolution techniques to assist students in solving problems.
  • Participates in and implements ongoing training and professional development related to early childhood development and education.
  • Assists teachers with implementation of specific instructional requirements as indicated in the individual education plans for each student, as needed.
  • Assists teachers in supervision of students including, but not limited to: arrival/dismissal, loading/unloading buses, classroom, playground, individualized settings.
  • Assists with preparation of instructional materials as needed.
  • Assists teachers with gathering data for reports and paperwork related functions as needed.
  • Annually completes CPI: Verbal De-escalation Training.
  • Operates school equipment such as Chromebooks, copier, communication devices, etc.
