Early Childhood Floating Teacher

About This Role

Franconia Children's Center in Franconia, NH is hiring a Early Childhood Floating Teacher to support daily operations at an early childhood education center. This position offers $16 – $20/Hr and requires relevant professional experience.

What You'll Do

• Engage with children across various age groups and developmental stages, providing support and assistance as needed.
• Partner with lead teachers to design and implement engaging, play-based curriculum activities that promote learning and engagement.
• Maintain a positive and organized classroom environment, promoting positive social interactions and a sense of community among children.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with parents and caregivers through open communication.
• Take advantage of opportunities for professional development and learning, staying current on best practices in early childhood education and child development research.
• Foster a sense of teamwork and collaboration among staff members, sharing insights and strategies to enhance teaching practices and promote positive outcomes for children.
• Absorb responsibilities for circle time, small group activities, outdoor play, and transitions, ensuring a stimulating and enriching educational experience for all children.

Requirements

• Ability to meet state licensing requirements for childcare providers.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
• Previous experience working in a childcare setting, with exposure to multiple age groups and classroom environments.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and support diverse teaching teams.
• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field preferred.
• Adaptability, flexibility, and a willingness to embrace new challenges and experiences.
