Early Childhood / Elementary Soccer Coach

About the role

Soccer Shots is a program that introduces soccer to children at preschools, child care centers, elementary schools, and local parks in New Castle County, DE. We are expanding and need enthusiastic coaches to help run 30–60 minute sessions (length varies by age group). We provide all necessary training, equipment, and curriculum materials.

Coaches are needed in areas including Newark, Hockessin, Bear, Wilmington, New Castle, and Middletown. Some locations run two to three sessions in a row.

Compensation

$30 for each session coached.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize the safety of children under your care.
• Engage with each child through specific and positive affirmation.
• Plan ahead and conduct sessions according to the provided lesson plan.
• Maintain appropriate order for the age group.
• Serve as the committed and responsible "face" of Soccer Shots.
• Create a fun and exciting atmosphere that encourages participation.

Qualifications

• Soccer experience is preferred but not required (familiarity as a player or coach is helpful).
• Background in elementary or early childhood education is a great fit.
