About the role

Our Sandringham Centre has an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As an integral part of Mayfield, you will play a crucial role in creating a nurturing and educational environment for the children in our care.

Responsibilities

• Ensure child safety and wellbeing using active supervision skills.
• Collaborate with the team on age-appropriate curriculum implementation.
• Provide personalised attention, addressing unique learning styles and needs of the children.
• Guide behaviour through positive reinforcement for social and emotional development.
• Maintain open communication with parents about a child's progress and concerns.
• Actively participate in team meetings for a cohesive approach to early childhood education.
• Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere embracing diverse backgrounds in a culturally sensitive manner.

Requirements

• Available to work a rotating roster, Monday to Friday from 6:45am - 6:30pm.
• Hold a minimum of a Certificate III in ECEC (or ACECQA approved equivalent).
• Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC).
• Child protection, Red Nose, and Food Safety training (or willing to obtain).
• Working knowledge of NQF, EYLF, and Child Safe Standards.
• Demonstrated passion for the Early Childhood sector.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with children, their families, and the wider community.
