Early Childhood Educator II/III

About the role

This position is for an Early Childhood Educator II/III at MECEC Preschool located inside Elmwood High School.

Responsibilities

- Care and programming for children aged 3 months to 6 years of age. - Offer competitive wages, 60% cost share on Group Health plan coverage, Personal days, Pension, and paid MCCA membership. - Available to work Monday to Friday in varied shifts from 7 - 5:30. - Experience in Play-based and Emergent Curriculum. - Strong Behaviour Management skills. - Comfortable working in a diverse environment with children, staff, and families. - Experience as a Lead ECE - helping to mentor CCA’s. - Physically able to lift up to 20 kg and participate through all activities. - Respectful in handling conflicts and communicating effectively. - Strong advocates for children and their families as well as our field.

Requirements

- ECE II or III classification. - Commit to Kids Certification. - Circle of Security. - Current First Aid and CPR. - Accessibility Training. - At least 2 years experience working with children 3 months to 6 years.

Qualifications

- Passion for the field and professional development. - Positive attitude and hands-on approach towards children and staff. - Assets include infant experience and Circle of Security training.
