About the role

This position is about inspiring young learners and transforming their futures. It involves coaching students through workshops and individual/small group sessions to foster essential life skills and academic progress.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate dynamic life-skills workshops focusing on communication, concentration, feedback reception, and other enduring competencies.
  • Provide one-on-one and small-group coaching using Coachbot analytics, motivation frameworks, and meaningful relationships.
  • Evaluate life-skill proficiency using Alpha's Test2Pass system and guide students to genuine mastery.
  • Modify coaching approaches based on student developmental stages, incorporating various activities for different age groups.
  • Cultivate a supportive environment where students feel secure to push beyond their perceived limits.

Requirements

  • Willing to work on-site at one of Alpha's campuses.
  • Current opportunities at this compensation level are located in Scottsdale, AZ; Oklahoma City and Tulsa, OK; Nashville, TN; Austin, Georgetown, Dallas, Plano, Fort Worth, and Houston, TX; and Park City (Salt Lake City area), UT.
  • Bachelor's degree in any field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of direct experience working with children ages 4-9 in teaching, coaching, tutoring, camps, youth programs, or comparable settings.
  • Demonstrated success in motivating young children to reach demanding goals, with concrete examples of your influence.
  • Capacity to leverage AI-powered learning technology while focusing on coaching, motivation, and life-skill cultivation.
  • Ability to combine warmth with consistent high expectations.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Background in youth athletics, children's theater, camp leadership, Montessori, progressive education, or highly interactive after-school programs.
  • Personal history of reaching ambitious objectives in academics, sports, or professional life.
  • Exceptional storytelling or performance abilities that naturally engage young children.
  • Track record of transforming hesitant or reserved children into confident, active participants.
