About the role

This position is about inspiring young learners and transforming their futures. It involves fostering confidence, resilience, communication skills, and the drive to embrace challenges through engaging, hands-on workshops and personalized coaching.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate dynamic life-skills workshops focusing on communication, concentration, feedback reception, and other essential life skills.
  • Provide one-on-one and small-group coaching using Coachbot analytics and established motivation frameworks to ensure students advance towards challenging weekly learning targets.
  • Evaluate life-skill proficiency using Alpha's Test2Pass system and guide students to genuine mastery.
  • Modify coaching approaches based on students' developmental stages, incorporating activities suitable for younger or older learners.
  • Cultivate relationships where students feel secure to push beyond their perceived limits.

Requirements

  • Willing to work on-site at one of Alpha's campuses.
  • Bachelor's degree in any field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of direct experience working with children ages 4-9 in teaching, coaching, tutoring, camps, youth programs, or comparable settings.
  • Demonstrated success in motivating young children to reach demanding goals with concrete examples of influence.
  • Ability to leverage AI-powered learning technology while focusing on coaching, motivation, and life-skill cultivation.
  • Capacity to combine warmth with consistent high expectations.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Background in youth athletics, children's theater, camp leadership, Montessori, progressive education, or highly interactive after-school programs.
  • Personal history of reaching ambitious objectives in academics, sports, or professional life.
  • Exceptional storytelling or performance abilities that naturally engage young children.
  • Track record of transforming hesitant or reserved children into confident, active participants.

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week) long-term position. The role is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. Payments are made weekly.
