Early Childhood Education Teacher Apprenticeship

About the role

We are currently seeking candidates for our Early Childhood Education Apprentice Program. This program provides paid hands-on experience in early childhood education services, including assisting skilled teachers with the care and learning of children aged 6 weeks through 12 years old. Our training program covers Safe Work Practices, Child Development, Child Nutrition and Hygiene, Child Behavior Guidance, Planning and Implementing Curriculum, Family Engagement, and Leadership and Professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled QuadCare teachers with care and learning of children ages 6 weeks through 12 years old
• Receive and follow instructions and use vision to identify defects
• Work in a team environment and thrive independently with minimal supervision
• Complete and pass DCF Caregiver Background check
• Complete DCF Fingerprinting Background check
• Complete Physical and TB test
• Consent/pass a drug test at Quad/Med
• Obtain Infant/Child AED, First Aid and CPR certification during the first three months of the program and maintain it throughout
• Complete DCF certification requirements to provide care to children within the first six months of the program
• Register with the Wisconsin Registry within the first six months of the program and keep registration updated
• Successfully complete Transition to Trainer in the final year of the program
• Obtain the related Early Childhood Teacher Technical diploma associated with this program prior to completion

Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Must be able to receive and follow instructions and use vision to identify defects with or without reasonable accommodation
• Must have good verbal and written comprehension
• Must enroll in Early Childhood Teacher Technical Diploma at Moraine Park Technical College or MATC (Milwaukee Area Technical College)
• Must be 18 years of age and hold a High School Diploma
• Must complete and pass DCF Caregiver Background check
• Must complete DCF Fingerprinting Background check
• Must complete Physical and TB test
• Must consent/pass a drug test at Quad/Med

• Enroll in Early Childhood Teacher Technical Diploma at Moraine Park Technical College or MATC (Milwaukee Area Technical College)

Pay

Quad will pay for your classes in Early Childhood Education at Moraine Park Technical College (MPTC) or Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) and you will get paid while attending classes.
