Full-time, permanent position in the Early Childhood Learning Center.
About the Organization
The Early Childhood Learning Center serves children from six weeks to five years of age. Established in 1970 under the direction of the College of Education, it provides Early Childhood Education majors with hands-on experience working with young children. The Center aims to create a learning environment that supports children’s maximum development physically, intellectually, socially, and emotionally. It serves the University, Fayetteville, and surrounding communities, including referrals from the Cumberland County Department of Social Services Childcare Unit and Partnership for Children of Cumberland County.
About the Role
This position implements Creative Curriculum, Teaching Strategies GOLD, and Ready Rosie for children enrolled in NC Pre-K. The employee must enroll in the Early Educator Support Unit under the Division of Child Development and Early Education. Responsibilities include planning and delivering a program that enriches the physical, social, and emotional needs of NC Pre-K children.
Responsibilities
- Implement Creative Curriculum, Teaching Strategies GOLD, and Ready Rosie for NC Pre-K children.
- Plan and execute a program that addresses the physical, social, and emotional needs of enrolled children.
- Enroll in the Early Educator Support Unit under the Division of Child Development and Early Education.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education with a teaching license or Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and ability to obtain a teaching license within one year of employment.
- One year of childcare experience (preferred).
Pay
$42,789.00 per year.
