Early Childhood Classroom Teacher (Substitute)

Responsibilities

• Implements daily lesson plans and maintains daily class schedule
• Ensures daily communication is maintained with parents through communication logs, calendars, newsletters, office notes
• Establishes daily connection with students
• Safeguards daily communication with on-site manager
• Completes daily record keeping
• Safeguards daily maintenance of classrooms and submits classroom needs to Manager
• Attends staff meetings and on-going trainings
• Assists in lesson planning
• Assists and attends program events
• Works directly with on-site manager to identify needs and developmental goals for each student
• Works directly with on-site manager to implement family education and support
• Buils community relationships and interacts professionally on behalf of Jordan Valley Early Childhood Education Center
• Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all children, families, visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible and courteous environment and exhibits love for children and families
• Works to build the overall development of the child through engaging instruction and interaction using the resources provided
• Promotes effective working relations and work effectively as part of a team to facilitate the Center’s ability to meet its goals and objectives
• Promotes the education and development of students, interns, residents, apprentices, and other new staff by sharing expertise, responding to questions, and fostering a positive and supportive learning environment
• Attains all agreed to goals and objectives within specified time frames, as part of the Center’s overall mission
• Promotes the education and development of students, interns, residents, apprentices, and other new staff by sharing expertise, responding to questions, and fostering a positive and supportive learning environment

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License
• Pediatric First-Aid, CPR and AED certification within 90 days of hire

Qualifications

• Trained in and/or experience in an Early Childhood or Daycare setting
• Associate's degree
