Early Childhood After Care Attendant | 2026/2027 School Year

About the Role

We are looking for Early Childhood After School Attendants to assist in implementing recreational activities for students and provide for their physical and emotional needs, ensuring a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment for each enrolled child.

This position is open to current high school students.

Qualifying Characteristics

• A Christian with an authentic and mature personal relationship with Jesus Christ, demonstrating this in both professional and personal life, with a calling and commitment to Christian education.
• Desire to work closely and nurture positive relationships with students, teachers, parents, staff, school administrators, and community members.
• Respect for all students and community members.
• Ability to exercise good judgment, set a good example, and comply with school standards.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential issues tactfully and professionally.
• Ability to address concerns and offer suggestions appropriately and confidentially.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision of young children, understanding their needs and closely monitoring their activities and location.
• Supervise preschool-age students in the Before and After School Care program.
• Move throughout the care area to effectively interact with children.
• Engage with students both in groups and one-on-one to provide a safe and supportive environment.
• Prepare and clean up daily activities, games, and arts/craft projects, encouraging student participation and clean-up.
• Encourage and model the mission and core values of Traders Point Christian Schools.

Schedule

Academic year position, Monday through Friday, 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Work from 1 to 5 days per week.
