Early Career Machine Operator | 1st Shift
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Blow Mold Machine Operator to join our team in Racine, WI. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, mechanical equipment, and learning new skills in a fast-paced production environment. You'll operate and monitor blow molding equipment, ensure high-quality product production, and collaborate with our Maintenance Technician on machine setup, color changes, tooling changes, and basic adjustments.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor blow molding machinery to produce quality products that meet specifications
- Trim excess material from molded products
- Regrind scrap material and non-conforming parts for reuse
- Assist with machine color changes and tooling changeovers
- Perform basic machine adjustments and monitor performance during production runs
- Weigh finished products to verify quality and machine accuracy
- Assemble products by inserting metal components into plastic parts using punch press equipment
- Safely hand-feed metal components into production equipment
- Package finished products for shipment
- Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies
- Lift and move materials and products weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the shift
Requirements
- Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience preferred, but not required
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Experience in a hands-on, physically active, or labor-intensive role li>Mechanical aptitude and interest in manufacturing equipment
- Dependable attendance and commitment to workplace safety
- Positive, team-oriented attitude
- History of reliability and longevity in previous positions is a plus
