Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an opportunity for an entry-level Electrical Systems Engineer supporting the Test Operations and Sustainment contract at Arnold Engineering Development Complex, Arnold AFB, TN. This role involves maintaining and sustaining U.S. Air Force test operations, ensuring test readiness for aerodynamic testing of airframes, engines, and other aerospace systems.

About the role

As part of an integrated team, you will oversee the installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, upgrades, and arc flash considerations of major electrical equipment. These systems include large electric motors, hydraulic pumps, electrical switchgear, over-current protection, transformers, PLCs, relays, and solid-state variable frequency systems.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to system malfunctions, troubleshoot issues, and direct corrective maintenance activities to ensure timely return to service.
  • Update and maintain system documentation for assigned systems.
  • Collaborate with design engineering, fabrication shops, DoD clients, and other contractors.
  • Develop advanced maintenance plans with Asset Health Assurance personnel.
  • Conduct and document system safety hazard analyses and write clear work instructions for operation and maintenance.
  • Assess and communicate risks to stakeholders.
  • Develop estimates for improvement projects.
  • Work with planners, schedulers, and craft supervisors to safely plan and execute maintenance, upgrades, and test projects.
  • Assist craft personnel with troubleshooting and provide technical leadership and guidance.
  • Wear company-issued Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by policy.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Less than 5 years of post-degree engineering experience (entry-level).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret level security clearance and access to the AEDC local area network.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to Air Force security requirements.

Pay

$75,000 – $110,000 per year.
