Early-Career Air Quality Engineer

Responsibilities
- Preparing air emissions inventories and environmental compliance reports;
- Preparing emissions calculations and air permit applications;
- Carrying out regulatory analyses related to federal, state, and local air regulations regarding Clean Air Act, National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAPs), and New Source Performance Standards (NSPS);
- Conducting air dispersion modeling analysis;
- Performing analyses related to air pollution control systems and source monitoring and measurement requirements;
- Providing environmental compliance and litigation support services, such as compliance audits and reviews, hazardous waste and material management.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of air quality permitting and compliance experience with an environmental consulting firm;
- Experience with air quality modeling (SCREEN3, AERSCREEN, and AERMOD);
- Strong hands-on spreadsheet and database comprehension;
- Experience in air quality permitting and air quality compliance in Texas (required) and Louisiana (preferred);
- Experience in environmental compliance services (stormwater, spill planning, hazardous waste, etc.) and compliance auditing;
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in environmental or chemical engineering or an aligned scientific discipline;
- (preferred) Advanced degree in environmental or chemical engineering;
- (preferred) Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
