E Shift - Assembly Associate

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Properly verify components to shop order prior to assembly.
  • Meet or exceed quality and production standards on a daily basis.
  • Proper handling of product to prevent damage.
  • Report all equipment maintenance problems daily.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Work with and always display a team concept approach, working individually, or as a team.

Processes Performed

  • HU retrieval
  • Order set-up
  • Pre-kitting (ILS)
  • Kitting
  • bagging
  • printing and/or labelling
  • hand packing
  • "catching" F/G units
  • board line component "dropping"
  • arranging bearing sets

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good eye/hand coordination.
  • Able to perform repetitive functions for an extended period of time.

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of engine parts preferred.

Language Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret documents.

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to complete basic math calculations.

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
  • Good analytical, conceptual, and organizational skills.

Physical Demands

  • Frequent use of hands for feeling, handling, reaching, talking, and hearing.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Frequent lifting and/or moving objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Close, distance, color, and depth vision.
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places.

Work Environment

  • Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places.
  • Noisy environment.

Overtime

  • Overtime may be required.
