Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Properly verify components to shop order prior to assembly.
- Meet or exceed quality and production standards on a daily basis.
- Proper handling of product to prevent damage.
- Report all equipment maintenance problems daily.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Work with and always display a team concept approach, working individually, or as a team.
Processes Performed
- HU retrieval
- Order set-up
- Pre-kitting (ILS)
- Kitting
- bagging
- printing and/or labelling
- hand packing
- "catching" F/G units
- board line component "dropping"
- arranging bearing sets
Qualifications
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good eye/hand coordination.
- Able to perform repetitive functions for an extended period of time.
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of engine parts preferred.
Language Skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to complete basic math calculations.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
- Good analytical, conceptual, and organizational skills.
Physical Demands
- Frequent use of hands for feeling, handling, reaching, talking, and hearing.
- Frequent sitting, standing, and walking.
- Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Frequent lifting and/or moving objects up to 50 pounds.
- Close, distance, color, and depth vision.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places.
Work Environment
- Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places.
- Noisy environment.
Overtime
- Overtime may be required.
