About the role
The E&I Technician II is responsible for the advanced maintenance, programming, and troubleshooting of complex electrical and instrumentation systems. This role requires high-level technical expertise to install, calibrate, and repair digital industrial instrumentation and networked control systems to ensure optimal plant performance.
Responsibilities
- Champion a safe and clean work environment, embedding safety as the highest priority within our culture.
- Participate in safety, continuous improvement, and 5S initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with safety policies and procedures, conduct inspections of plant areas, and ensure deficiencies found are resolved or appropriately communicated.
- Read and create electrical, electronic, process, and mechanical drawings including: loop sheets, ANSI ladder diagrams, motor elementaries, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams, Logic Diagrams (SAMA and Boolean), Mechanical Machine drawings, Instrument Location Plans, and Electronic Diagrams.
- Troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing plant-wide control systems, including PLCs, DCS, and SCADA platforms.
- Installing, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial networks and communication protocols.
- Installing and calibrating pneumatic, hydraulic, and digital instrumentation to factory specifications.
- Setting up, configuring, and performing backups for industrial PCs and SQL/HMI databases.
- Utilizing predictive technologies to improve equipment uptime and participating in continuing training processes.
- Assisting supervision in the design and replacement of equipment to enhance plant electrical performance.
- Providing training and technical guidance to Maintenance Electricians to improve overall plant system knowledge.
- Document all work in the CMMS, ensuring high data integrity regarding labor, parts, and technical findings to assist Maintenance Planners in refining job methods.
- Perform other job duties as assigned
Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
- Associate’s Degree Associates or technical degree or certification in a related field preferred
- 5+ years industrial maintenance experience in a high volume manufacturing operations, preferably continuous process

- Advanced ability to read and create electrical, electronic, and process drawings (loop sheets, ANSI ladder diagrams, P&IDs, and Logic Diagrams)
- Mastery of all precision tools, meters, and shop equipment required for complex electrical tasks
- Knowledge of applicable predictive technologies to improve operational efficiency
- Ability to deal with complex problems involving multiple physical variables in everyday manufacturing situations
- Proficiency in Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and PLC5
- Advanced knowledge of DCS platforms (Fisher-Rosemount Delta V or Honeywell Experion)
- Experience with SCADA software, specifically Wonderware Intouch
- Familiarity with SQL, InSQL, and HMI database management
- Expertise in DC and AC Drive systems, including AC Vector, Brushless DC, Electric Servo, and Stepping Motor drives
- Sound understanding of motor elementaries and high-voltage power distribution
- Mastery of precision meters, calibration tools, and electrical shop equipment
- Advanced ability to read and create Loop Sheets, ANSI Ladder Diagrams, P&IDs, Logic Diagrams (SAMA and Boolean), and Electronic Diagrams
- Ability to resolve complex problems involving multiple physical variables in manufacturing environments
