E&I, Operations, and/or Maintenance Mechanic Intern

Award-winning Alabama River Cellulose facility in Georgia-Pacific is seeking an Intern.

About the role

A self-motivated, passionate learner with interest in Electrical & Instrumentation, Operations, or Maintenance careers is needed. Work schedule is 24 hours/week, primarily on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Responsibilities

• Assist operators with equipment inspections, data collection, and reliability tasks
• Support plant operations by conducting safety and environmental checks
• Collaborate with other operators, maintenance, and engineering teams to troubleshoot and repair equipment
• Participate in shadowing activities with E&I and Mechanical teams during preventative maintenance and troubleshooting
• Perform tasks at heights up to 100 feet, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in various weather conditions

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an Electrical & Instrumentation, Operations, or Maintenance program

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial setting
