E&I Maintenance Journeyman

About the role

Sylvamo, a major pulp and paper producer located in Eastover SC, is seeking its next generation of top Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance Technicians for the Eastover, SC Mill.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical and instrumentation maintenance support to ensure plant operations run smoothly.
• Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and instrumentation issues using advanced systems and tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and maintain system integrity.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Requirements

• 5 years or more experience working in the E&I field.
• DCS, PLC, Electric Drive, and Power Distribution Systems proficiency.
• Outstanding troubleshooting, communications, and interpersonal skills.
• A High School Diploma or GED.
• Associate Degree in Electrical-Instrumentation Technology, Mechatronics, or related field preferred.
• Working experience in process industrial maintenance.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting skills, operating in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Undergo a drug screen for illicit use of drugs as a condition of employment.
• Submit an official transcript from the program you have successfully completed as a condition of employment.
• Submit to periodic drug screens as a condition of employment.
• Work any shift and/or a rotating shift schedule.
• Work overtime on a regular basis and with last minute notification.
• Work holidays and/or weekends on a regular basis.
• Wear required safety equipment.
• Operate or work in industrial conditions (i.e. warm/hot, dusty/dirty, around hazardous chemicals, noise, heavy machinery or elevated working surfaces with proper safety training and safety protection).

Pay

Hourly pay rate is $37.93 - $40.28 starting pay with opportunity to progress.
