Description
Smurfit Westrock, a leading provider of sustainable packaging solutions, seeks an experienced E&I Multi-craft Maintenance Journeyman at its Papermill in Cottonton, Alabama. The position offers a competitive wage of $48.36 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package.
Requirements
- Five or more years of industrial experience as a Journeyman with Electrical Specialty
- Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, Delta-V DCS, Powerflex Drives, and/or ABB Drives
- A two-year technical degree preferred
- Pass written testing requirements
- Availability to work overtime as required
- A strong desire and willingness to learn the equipment
- Decision-making and troubleshooting abilities
- Good communication and computer skills
- A highly motivated, conscientious, and team-oriented attitude
- Safety awareness and adherence to electrical safety precautions
Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of a wide range of electrical control equipment, including programmable logic controllers, variable speed drives, various industrial communication protocols, magnetic motor control circuits, electrical distribution equipment, AC induction motors, DC motors, AC synchronous motors, and controls, process variable transmitters, various types of valves, and distributed control system hardware
- The ability to read and understand electrical schematics, loop sheets, process and instrumentation diagrams, and equipment manuals
- The ability to troubleshoot and repair various forms of control logic, such as ladder logic, structured text, and function block diagrams
- The ability to use and understand various types of test equipment, including calibration equipment, digital multi-meters, megohmmeters, and oscilloscopes
- An intimate knowledge of electrical safety precautions and procedures
- Responsibility for troubleshooting and repair of all electrical and control equipment in assigned mill area
- Assistance with mechanical work as needed
