E I&C Technician

About the role

Responsible for basic operational knowledge of all plant systems including five GE 7EA Combustion Turbines and two GE 7HA Combustion Turbines. Operate equipment within specifications and environmental regulations under the direction of skilled Plant Technicians. Continue learning the proper function and maintenance of equipment at a gas plant for the gas fleet, promoting safe, effective, and reliable operation.

Responsibilities

• Assist and perform troubleshooting of plant equipment, preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure proper functioning.
• Conduct daily maintenance, construction, demolition, overhauls, repair/replacement, and removal/installation of plant equipment and structures.
• Perform clearances in LOTOV under the direction of a senior operator or supervisor.
• Utilize and operate various hand, power, precision, or machine tools necessary to support safe and productive work environments.
• Maintain a working knowledge of all electronic control systems and computers.
• Understand and follow current safety and environmental regulations for all phases of work.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety, health, and environmental procedures, including Lockout Tagout, Job Safety Analysis, Confined Space, Hot Work, Electrical Safety, and PPE.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of related or cross‑industry experience.
• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Standard computer‑based skills.
• Effective oral and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 25 % of the time.
• Successful completion of the Plant Operator Selection System/Power Plant Operations and Maintenance (POSS/MASS) program.

Qualifications

• Level of position determined by applicable skills and experience.
• Progression of skill within primary skill set measured by Tier 2 job performance sign‑offs for primary and auxiliary system operations and maintenance.
• Demonstrated continual self‑improvement in job skills and knowledge.
