The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a talented E-Discovery & Digital Forensics Lead for our San Antonio, Texas corporate headquarters.

The position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Charlotte, NC, or Tampa, FL.

This position requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week.

What you'll do:

  • Completes full forensic examinations to include acquisition and analysis of large and varied data sources and effective presentation of findings via concise narrative descriptions, visual aids (graphs, charts, timelines, etc), affidavits, and sworn testimony.
  • Leads collaborations with Chief Legal Office, HR, and Corporate Investigations teams to prepare and manage complex cases for all related court processes pertaining to digital evidence that has been collected and analyzed.
  • Advises in-house and outside counsel to optimize efficiency in large scale reviews of electronic materials, including preparing document review databases and searching, filtering, and batching documents.
  • Directs clients on best practices, provides technical guidance and support, and coordinates with IT and vendors to resolve issues encountered in the use of document review databases.
  • Designs and executes upon processes to actively manage and document the collection, extraction, production, and purge of digital evidence collections in compliance with applicable legal preservation obligations.
  • Develops and deploys automated processes for routine/recurring requests.
  • Acts as administrator of systems that support the eDiscovery and investigation processes, collaborating with IT, Legal, vendors, and law firms to escalate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues; test and validate software; and provide user training and support.
  • Develops, documents, and implements written procedures, controls, quality assurance, and testing programs in accordance with risk management policies and standards.
  • Identifies and stays abreast of emerging technologies, best practices, and changes of law applicable to subject matter areas. Ensures all policies and processes are updated regularly and/or as needed.
  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
  • What you have:

    • Bachelor's Degree in related legal or technological discipline.
    • Multiple industry-recognized or tool-specific certification (GCFE, GASF, CDFE, CHFI, A+, Security+, Network+, CEDS, CISSP, FTK, EnCase, RCA, IPRO).
    • 8 years experience related to digital investigation proceedings, forensic investigation, electronic discovery, and chain of custody.
    • Expert understanding of physical file storage, file and system metadata, network and cloud architecture, relational databases (SQL), file transfer protocol (FTP), and other role-related technological subject matter.

    What sets you apart:

    • Advanced experience supporting eDiscovery, litigation support, or digital forensics within a large financial services organization (e.g., banking, insurance, or highly regulated enterprise) strongly preferred, including experience working within a Legal or Staff Counsel operations department, with familiarity in handling high-volume, sensitive, and regulated data environments.
    • US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner.

    Compensation:

    The salary range for this position is: $127,310 - $243,340.

    Qualifications:
