About the role

The E Commerce Technician is a key team member responsible for managing the online sales process at Goodwill Southeast Georgia. This role involves evaluating and selecting high-value items for online sale, ensuring efficient order fulfillment, and supporting the mission of maximizing revenue from donated goods through digital platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Mission Alignment: Demonstrate Goodwill Southeast Georgia’s mission, vision, and values in all work activities, ensuring a positive impact on the community and organization.
  • Product Evaluation: Sort, evaluate, and identify items with high value for online sale. Ensure safe packing of products for transport and delivery.
  • Inventory Management: Track and organize eCommerce inventory to maintain accurate records and ensure efficient order fulfillment.
  • Team Communication: Collaborate with store leadership and the eCommerce leadership team. Participate in training sessions, monthly meetings, and provide input on operational improvements.
  • Safety and Organization: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace, adhering to company policies and safety guidelines.
  • Positive Work Environment: Contribute to a collaborative, respectful, and effective work atmosphere by engaging respectfully with coworkers, leadership, and customers.
  • Performance Metrics: Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for online sales. Contribute to strategies aimed at driving growth and profitability.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on eCommerce trends and platform changes, using this knowledge to improve operational efficiency and customer engagement.
  • Other Duties: Perform any other related tasks as assigned to ensure the success of the eCommerce operation.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of jewelry, collectibles, and art, with the ability to research items online to determine their value.
  • Previous eCommerce experience is preferred but not required.
  • A high school diploma, GED, or related experience that provides the knowledge and skills to perform the essential functions of the role.
  • Proficiency with computers, including navigating online sales portals, payment systems, shipping systems, and value research websites.
  • Experience with digital photography using a camera or smartphone.
  • A strong attention to detail and the ability to capture high-quality images of products.
  • Creative writing skills for crafting effective product descriptions.
  • The ability to learn quickly and retain important information.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work within a team.
