Evergreen Goodwill of Northwest Washington is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1923 that provides free job training, education, and placement across five counties. The organization operates five job-training centers, 23 retail stores, and more than 27 donation sites, employing over 2,000 people. Responsibilities
- Identify and value appropriate merchandise for online sales.
- List auctions with pictures and descriptions to maximize value.
- Prepare a monthly update of items needed for internal auctions.
- Maintain a daily tracking board showing items listed, sold, and sale amounts by E‑commerce Lister.
- Motivate the team by tracking highest sold-to-listed ratios and highest dollar amounts.
- Create department standards and hold staff accountable.
- Develop and maintain a team-oriented environment.
- Assist in hiring and training staff.
- Provide customer service and communicate with internal and external customers.
- Follow up on non-paying customers and issue refunds.
- Maintain an eBay seller rating of at least 98%.
- Track sales for the organization and by store.
- Keep auction sales premises clean.
- Provide excellent internal and external customer service.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Demonstrate safe work practices and report hazards or accidents.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Interview, hire, and train employees.
- Plan, assign, and direct work.
- Monitor performance and address complaints or problems.
- Partner with People Relations as needed.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalency (not required).
- Minimum 1 year of e‑commerce experience, preferably with auctions and books.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for customer service.
- Ability to motivate people, instill accountability, and achieve results.
- Valid Washington driver’s license with proof of insurance and a good driving record.
Skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Strong internet research skills.
- Ability to learn new technology and software related to the job.
Physical Abilities
- Lift and carry up to 35–50 pounds.
- Fine motor control (grasp, handle, manipulate objects with fingers).
- Standing for long periods; frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, stooping, squatting, pushing.
- Climbing ladders and traveling across varied surfaces (stairs, ramps, uneven terrain).
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing, including with those who have limited English skills.
- Maintain reliable attendance.

Work Environment
Warehouse and retail store environment with variable temperatures and exposure to dust. Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
