About the role
The E-Commerce Sales Associate plays a crucial part in ensuring a seamless shopping experience for guests visiting biltmoreshop.com. They act as a bridge between phone orders and the merchandise/wine packing teams, managing the distribution of orders and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities
- Accurately collect, sort, and distribute all phone orders to the appropriate packing locations.
- Enter phone and Wine Shop orders into Counterpoint and ShipCompliant for tax reporting.
- Assist the E-Commerce Lead Sales Associate in ensuring timely handling of guest orders.
- Provide general assistance and support to E-Commerce and Fulfillment Department Teams as needed.
- Work independently and within a team, assisting the Reservation and Sales Team with inventory requests as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) year of experience in retail sales or similar guest service setting.
- Prior experience in a high-end retail or e-commerce environment is preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing world-class guest service.
- Active listening skills and familiarity with suggestive selling techniques.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn Biltmore systems, including Shopify, Salesforce, Counterpoint, ShipCompliant, and other retail and e-commerce applications.
- Basic knowledge of Excel and familiarity with Shopify, Salesforce, and FedEx Ship Manager software is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely convey information both verbally and in writing.
- Strong organizational and management skills, with a keen attention to detail and quality.
- Proactive, able to take initiative, and exercise good judgment.
Benefits
The starting pay range for this position is $17.09/hour, based on qualifications and experience above the minimum requirements. The position offers a flexible schedule averaging 20-29 hours per week (1000 - 1559 hours/year).
