E-Commerce Integration Manager (Back-End API)

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed API documentation to enable third-party developers to easily integrate with DSTNC’s platform
  • Create and maintain API client libraries to provide an easy-to-use interface for third-party developers
  • Track API performance metrics and work to improve the stability, scalability, and availability of the APIs
  • Maintain APIs for DSTNC’s products and services
  • Monitor API usage to identify trends and anticipate customer needs
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand customer needs and develop solutions that meet those needs
  • Leverage project management skills to plan, coordinate, and execute API-related projects from inception to completion
  • Work closely with vendors (brand partners) to integrate their systems with our system
  • Gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure smooth integration and onboarding processes
  • Support and address any integration-related issues
  • Implement appropriate error-handling mechanisms and ensure accurate financial reporting and reconciliation processes

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience managing and maintaining APIs and RESTful APIs
  • Proven track record of managing web services
  • Familiarity with API integration with payment gateways, such as PayPal, Stripe, Braintree, or other popular payment service providers
  • In-depth knowledge of web technologies, including HTTP, XML/JSON, web security, authentication/authorization protocols
  • Good understanding of relational databases and NoSQL databases
  • Experience in partnering with front-end developers and designers on collaborating on development of backend services in support of them
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Proficient in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, Ruby, etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
