E-Commerce Fulfillment Associate

About the role

NET-A-PORTER GROUP is the world’s leading online luxury fashion retailer, formed from the merger of YOOX GROUP and THE NET‑A‑PORTER GROUP in 2015. The group operates multi‑brand in‑season stores NET‑A‑PORTER and MR PORTER, off‑season stores YOOX and THE OUTNET, and numerous online flagship stores, all “Powered by YNAP”. The role is based in Mahwah, NJ, reporting to the operations team as a Fulfilment Associate.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all merchandise is allocated to the correct customer order
• Inspect garments to ensure quality and verify all tags are attached and items have the correct SKU
• Properly process defective/faulty merchandise
• Ensure quality, delivery and other objectives are met
• Maintain a clean work environment by keeping area free of trash and product in correct locations
• Prepare and pack orders according to company standards, including processing UPS shipping labels on boxes

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read, write and take direction in English
• Proficient with computers (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel; Internet)
• Entry level position
• On‑site workplace

Skills

• Strong initiative and self‑driven
• Ability to multi‑task and maintain organization
• Prior experience working in a team environment and independently
• Previous retail and/or gift wrapping experience preferred
• Fashion and/or luxury experience a plus

Work Environment

• Time spent in the warehouse or loading dock receiving and transporting deliveries
• Moderate to heavy physical labor such as lifting and moving heavy items required regularly
• Temperature in the warehouse or dock varies according to external climate
• Dress code: black shirt, black pants, comfortable sneakers; no jackets, hoodies, loose fitting clothing, no open‑toe shoes, high heels, “Ugg style” boots; hair must be kept very short, put up in a bun, or inside a hair net supplied by the company; no hats, shorts, short skirts, leggings or athletic apparel
• General warehouse rules: food/drink strictly prohibited (except water); no ear buds, head phones; no use of cell phones; no bags, packages, duffle bags, hand bags, backpacks, or any other forms of bags and packages allowed on the warehouse floor; all bags and packages entering/exiting must be searched and inspected by security
