About the role

Select and gather products for customers' online orders efficiently with attention to freshness and quality. Assemble orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to cars during customer pickup. Provide a positive customer service experience that encourages repeat online shopping. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness
• Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines
• Receive customers’ orders and store products in optimal temperature zones
• Initiate and complete the selection process for customers’ online orders
• Read and follow directions given in the note section of orders
• Ensure quality and freshness of all items chosen
• Communicate with customers via a portable phone in a professional and timely manner
• Retrieve each customer’s order from staging locations, ensure order accuracy, and load orders into customers' cars
• Process orders through the point of sale (POS) system
• Follow policies and procedures to determine appropriate substitutions for out-of-stock items
• Scan and bag orders while following all bagging standards
• Communicate any substitutions or exceptions to the customer’s order at pickup
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment
• Report pricing, scanning, item location discrepancies, and invalid temperature types to the e-Commerce supervisor
• Inspect equipment and notify management of items needing repair
• Perform required opening and closing procedures
• Learn and adapt to new and improved processes
• Assist in training new e-Commerce team members
• Meet or exceed productivity standards
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment
• Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational, and cooperative manner
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve customer and business issues
• Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults

Requirements

Minimum

• Ability to work without supervision
• Ability to read shelf tags
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, and subtraction)

Desired

• Experience in a production-oriented or warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or as a cashier
