About the role

This employee provides application development and integration services to the Department of Technology, Management and Budget, supporting the Michigan Department of Civil Rights (MDCR), Michigan Civil Service Commission (MCSC), and Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential (MiLEAP). Responsibilities include the design, maintenance, development, and enhancement of agency applications within the framework of the State of Michigan System Engineering Methodology (SEM). The role involves advanced technical support for Dynamics 365 platforms, leading project tasks such as requirements gathering, planning, analysis, design, testing, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of Dynamics 365 and Power Platform implementations.

Responsibilities

  • Design and document technical architecture solutions spanning multiple platforms, including integration and authentication across systems.
  • Define, communicate, and manage technical change management (e.g., release) processes for Dynamics 365-related technology efforts using CI/CD and release management.
  • Identify risks and issues from a technical perspective.
  • Develop, test, and deploy application releases, updates, and modifications.
  • Gather and analyze requirements with customers.
  • Prepare detailed written instructions, documentation, and reports.
  • Resolve complex problems in a timely manner and seek optimal solutions.
  • Communicate technical terminology at a level appropriate to the audience.
  • Troubleshoot application issues under pressure.
  • Provide technical customer service and application support.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of working experience with Dynamics 365 and Power Platform implementations.
  • 3+ years of architect experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with Power Platform solutions, particularly Power Automate and Power Pages.
  • 5+ years of Microsoft Azure platform experience.
  • 5+ years of Azure DevOps experience.
  • 3+ years of data architecture experience.
  • 5+ years of infrastructure, network, and application support experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a technical customer service analyst.
  • Extensive experience with APIs and Azure communications.

Qualifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate.
  • Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Customer Service Functional Consultant Associate.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).
  • ITIL Foundation Certification.
