Dynamics 365 Finance Lead Consultant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 Finance Lead with 10+ years of ERP implementation experience and deep expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O). The ideal candidate will lead Finance workstreams, drive end-to-end implementations, collaborate with business stakeholders, and provide functional leadership across multiple finance modules. This role requires strong business process knowledge, solution design expertise, and the ability to lead client workshops while ensuring successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance implementations.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Conduct solution design workshops with business stakeholders.
• Configure and implement D365 Finance modules based on business requirements.
• Provide functional leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead Conference Room Pilots (CRPs), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and go-live activities.
• Design finance solutions aligned with industry best practices.
• Collaborate with technical teams on integrations, reporting, and customizations.
• Support data migration, validation, and reconciliation activities.
• Identify project risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Mentor junior consultants and provide functional guidance.
• Prepare functional specifications, process documentation, and training materials.

Requirements

• 10+ years of ERP implementation experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O).
• Expertise in core Finance modules, including:
  • General Ledger (GL)
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Fixed Assets
  • Cash & Bank Management
  • Budgeting
  • Financial Reporting
• Strong understanding of finance business processes and accounting principles.
• Experience leading client workshops and solution design sessions.
• Experience with data migration, testing, and production deployments.
• Ability to work closely with business users, architects, and development teams.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Power Platform.
• Exposure to Azure integrations.
• Knowledge of Electronic Reporting (ER).
• Experience with dual-write and data management framework.
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance certifications are a plus.
